At Blackearth Apologetics, we believe that "The light of the Gospel is extinguished without erudition." To this end, we aim to provide scholarly and educational services and resources relating to the defense of the Christian faith.
Blackearth is the English translation of the last name of Philip Melanchthon. Melanchthon himself was an influential 16th century scholar and theologian. He was the author of the Augsburg Confession, and a close associate of Martin Luther at the University of Wittenberg.
Blackearth Apologetics was founded by Wisconsin Lutheran College Professors Kerry Kuehn and Michael Berg.
